Summary

Clean Energy Bridge is a decarbonization development company focused on coal-to-clean transition transactions in emerging markets. We are working to accelerate sustainable and permanent reduction of CO2 emissions through coal power plant ramp-down, retirement, and replacement. We achieve this by developing stakeholder relationships, structuring bankable projects, and managing stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. At present we are active in Southeast Asia and North Africa.

Our mission is to accelerate the phaseout of coal power in emerging markets over the next decade by strengthening the overall business case, improving sourcing and enabling real-world C2C transactions that achieve high-quality environmental and social outcomes in the C2C transition.

We are seeking a DC-based expert to support the President across a range of activities including overall operational management and coordination, communications, brand/awareness building and some support on opportunity fundraising. Over time the role will offer room to grow and develop into leading relationship building across strategic partnerships at the HQ level.

As a young company that is growing quickly, CEB is looking for a team player who can operate independently in a dynamic environment. The role could evolve as our organization grows and there is substantial opportunity to help shape the long-term role description.

Roles & Responsibilities

Works with: President of CEB and our Country Leads

Deliverables:

Communications - Engage in international communications opportunities to build CEB's profile across a range of platforms.

Brand Building - Develop and implement a strategy to build MDB and funder awareness of CEB.

Fundraising - Support Funder management, including proposal writing and reporting.

Operations and admin - Work with President and Country Leads to identify to improve our operational practices.

Location: Prefer based in Washington DC. No relocation allowance.

Language/Nationality: Must be legally eligible to work in USA; fluency in English required; other languages are an advantage but not required.
