Transmission Systems Expert

Summary

The project is a renewable energy initiative in Morocco, focused on conducting a prefeasibility study to replace an operational coal power facility with renewable energy operations. We are developing strong relationships with key players and stakeholders in the local power landscape. If successful, we expect to prevent the emission of millions of tons of CO2 per annum and unlock billions of USD in investment. The implications of this will benefit Morocco and the broader region, as a case study of a commercially and technically viable coal power plant transition.

The Transmission Systems Expert will provide senior advisory input on Morocco’s medium- and high-voltage network, focusing on the grid upgrades needed to integrate large-scale renewable energy from the repurposed coal plant site. A key component of the project involves developing a cost effective technical solution for generation and transmission that meets the performance requirements of the Moroccan power market. This is an excellent opportunity to build on existing expertise in the power sector and develop relationships with leading players in the coal-to-clean power space.
